The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is coming to Groombridge Place for the first time!
Visitors will feel as if they had been transported into the land of Oz as soon as they walk through the door.
Meet the famous characters from the 1900 novel written by the American author Frank Baum as they welcome you into the Wonderful Land of Oz.
You will be amazed by the beautiful visual experiences as you venture through the grounds of Groombridge Place. Head to the Draftsman’s lawn where you may bump into the scarecrow as he wanders around the award winning gardens or, you might be in time to see what it was like to live on the farm in Kansas when you talk to Dorothy and her friends.
After you have been amazed by the characters on the lawn, why not head towards Crusoe’s World, better known as The Land of Oz! Here you will be greeted by Dorothy, The Tin Man, Lion Man and Scarecrow.
Dorothy and friends will take you down the yellow brick road before performing a forty five minute spectacle which takes you on a journey through the Land of Oz with a chance to see all of the amazing characters Dorothy meets along the way.
In-between the main performances, you will be able to catch The Wicked Witch of the West. (two performances a day).
At different times throughout the day, your own little Munchkins can get involved in a sing along workshop where the children will be taught different dance routines while also taking part in a variety of games that will no doubt wear them out – much to the joy of their parents!
