Groombridge Place has been a private family home for hundreds of years and since 1994 parts of the grounds have been open to the public. The Enchanted Forest was created, new features and attractions were added and continue to be visited and loved, along with some exciting recent additions.

The Treetops Walkway Experience at Groombridge Place

The UK’s Longest and Highest Tree-top Walkway opens at Groombridge Place in Kent Discover the amazing new handcrafted Treetops Walkway, which is an incredible 350m long and stands at over 20m above the forest floor.

Crusoes World

Pirate ships, gang planks, rope ladders and bridges, vast climbing frames – everything a budding pirate or captain needs for a swashbuckling adventure and imagination-fuelled playtime. Your only concern will be how to entice your salty seadogs back on to dry land to explore the rest of the forest!

Birds of Prey Free Flying Displays

The Raptor Centre, based at Groombridge Place, is the largest conservation centre for birds of prey in the South East. Flying displays take place twice daily (weather permitting). Our birds of prey display show will begin 18th March 2017 and will run daily until the end of September.

Deer Park

We love having our deer friends around the grounds of Groombridge - will you be lucky enough to spot any of them in the Deer Park? Keep a lookout as you travel between the gardens and the Enchanted Forest.

The Animals at Groombridge Place

The resident animals and birds include peacocks, chickens, Shetland pony, Mexican Donkey and our famous Zedonk (half zebra, half donkey). Also look out for deer in the forest and if you are lucky you may see a kingfisher when on the boat trip.
