The majority of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs as they are mainly on one level, all paths are gravel and steps have adjoining gravel ramps.
Some areas of the forest are naturally steep and not accessible by all wheelchair users, a map advising the best route for wheelchair users can be obtained from the admissions office on arrival.
At certain times of the year and after prolonged periods of wet weather, ground conditions can make accessing the canal path and forest more challenging. We suggest wearing Wellington Boots when the ground is likely to be wet.
There is wheelchair access to both the Peacock Bistro and Gift Shop. There are enlarged toilet cubicles in the Peacock Bistro and fully equipped disabled toilet in the main toilet block. There are no disabled facilities within the Forest. Baby Changing Facilities are available.
In addition to delicious coffees, teas and homemade cakes, the café at Groombridge Place offers Vegan and regular sausage rolls , freshly made sandwiches and rolls as well as the BBQ offering Vegan GF Veggie option every weekend weather permitting
